As we begin this next season of our publishing journey and are short on content, we will be sharing Verse of the Day devotions until we have enough article submissions to fill our editorial calendar. We hope you enjoy them! ~ Janel the CWP Editor-in-Chief
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.”
— John 10:27–28 NIV
Sometimes people who have been waiting for a long time for answers to prayer or have been spiritually hurt, become scared of getting faith or Christianity "wrong."
- What if I misunderstand God?
- What if I make the wrong decision?
- What if I can't hear Him correctly?
But a relationship with God isn't meant to be a constant test that we're afraid to fail. Sure, some choices are better than others. Easier or harder than the answer we want to hear. We forget than no matter what path we take to get to our destination, God loves us.
Jesus says something beautifully simple: I know them.
Before your ability to understand perfectly, there is the reality that you are known. And perhaps that where discernment begins. It's not in panic, but in relationship. God will get you where you need to go, when you need to be there, whether you want to go or not... just like Jonah.
