Friday's Verse of the Day » Philippians 1:6
Sep 18, 2026
As we begin this next season of our publishing journey and are short on content, we will be sharing Verse of the Day devotions until we have enough article submissions to fill our editorial calendar. We hope you enjoy them! ~ Janel the CWP Editor-in-Chief
“...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 1:6 NIV
You are allowed to be unfinished.
You're allowed to change your mind.
You're allowed to acknowledge there are things you once believed that no longer make sense. Or you recognize how harmful they are or can be.
And you are definitely allowed to outgrow the version of yourself who did what you needed to survive during the most painful seasons in your life.
Growth can feel confusing. It often asks us to release an identity or habit or thought process, that's been integral in our life, before we fully understand who we are becoming. Giving up something familiar for the unknown is difficult.
But unfinished doesn't mean broken. It means the story is still moving. Unfolding. Completing. And God hasn't revealed the finale yet.
