— 2 Timothy 1:7 NIV
Fear has a way of making itself sound like wisdom.
It says:
- Stay quiet.
- Don't ask questions.
- Don't upset anyone.
- Don't make a mistake.
But courage doesn't mean you never feel afraid. Sometimes courage is recognizing that fear doesn't get to make every decision for you. The one you know in your heart is right, but your mouth trembles at the thought of saying it aloud.
When we get brave enough to challenge fear, God's Spirit makes room for more important things... Power. Love. A sound mind. Your voice.
You don't have to become fearless. You just need to believe that bigger plans are at play. And then take your next steps, one a time.
