Verse of the Day
As we begin this next season of our publishing journey and are short on content, we will be sharing Verse of the Day devotions until we have enough article submissions to fill our editorial calendar. We hope you enjoy them! ~ Janel the CWP Editor-in-Chief

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

— Galatians 5:1 NIV

Freedom can be frightening when you aren't used to it.

It's especially so when you've been taught that safety comes from someone else telling you exactly what to believe, what to do, who to trust, and how to live. But Christ didn't set people free so they could immediately become enslaved to different kind of fear. He envisioned abundant life for each of us.

The path to freedom can be messy. Change is usually uncomfortable. Thinking for yourself will likely feel terrifying at first. But freedom is still freedom. And you're allowed to grow into it slowly. One step at a time with Christ beside you the whole way.
