Verse of the Day

As we begin this next season of our publishing journey and are short on content, we will be sharing Verse of the Day devotions until we have enough article submissions to fill our editorial calendar. We hope you enjoy them! ~ Janel the CWP Editor-in-Chief

But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

— Lamentations 3:21–23 ESV

Hope isn't always a feeling. Sometimes it's simply remembering the thing that suffering made hard to see.

Lamentations was written in the aftermath of devastation. These words weren't spoken by someone pretending everything was fine. They came from the deep sorrow inside of grief.

And still: “This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope.”

Maybe today hope doesn't need to be big. Maybe it can simply be the decision to remember that this moment is not the whole story. That God's not done with us yet.
