Healing is a complicated word. Many of us want to wake up one day and have every hurt we ever experienced be gone. Poof! In the blink of an eye. God does miracles like that and has, but most healing happens much more slowly. And the healing we want usually isn't the healing offered to us.
Healing happens in the smallest ways. From the tiniest changes.
+ Sometimes healing looks like sleeping better.
+ Sometimes it looks like recognizing a harmful pattern.
+ Sometimes it looks like saying, “That wasn't okay.”
+ And sometimes, it looks like realizing you are allowed to make a different choice.
God is always at work restoring us. Even a small restoration is still restoration. And especially the one no one noticed.
Our healing is between us and God. We don't have to push or rush to prove anything. We just have to be willing and show up.
