Hello! I'm Janel Guevara, the editor-in-chief and publisher.

I co-founded The Christian Woman's Page with my dear friend Elizabeth in 1998. Our mission, from the beginning, has been to encourage women when life is heavy and God seems ridiculously quiet. And sometimes, feels very far away...

Through the years, like you, we've had moments of mountain-top victory in our faith and personal life. There have also been valleys, with endless tears, when our only prayer was "Help!" Sometimes it was the ebb and flow of life in-between that unraveled us.

Most days, we're just like you... elbows deep in laundry, deadlines, and to do lists trying to find God wherever we can. But we both know other moments are heavy. They come with grief, disappointment, answers to prayers that weren't what we wanted, or any of a hundred other things.

Twenty-eight years ago, I knew one thing: life is messy but God is bigger. Today, I know some situations are far more serious than others. But God, no matter how distant He might seem, is there waiting for each of us. On the days that your heart is heavy, we're here to help you remember that you are never alone.

I believe God brought you here for such a time as this (Esther 4:14.) I pray you find what you need, tucked in an unexpected corner. Until we meet again, may the Lord bless and keep you safe from all who would harm you. 💕
